New Year’s Meme
In 2008, I gained: new friends, new job, new pet, new hair, a blackberry, a passport.
I lost: old friends, old hookups, my first blackberry.
I stopped: going out, sleeping at ken’s, working at urban, dating losers.
I started: walking more, traveling, wearing scarves and higher cut shirts, the 100 greatest movies list.
I was hugely satisfied by: ending things with ken.
And frustrated by: running into professional walls.
I am so embarrassed that I: got so blackout drunk at the HotMovies party.
Once again, I: liked an idea of someone who was totally wrong for me.
Once again, I did not: go to opening day, admit how i was really feeling, save money.
The biggest physical difference between me last December and this December is: my hair is shorter.
The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is: how comfortable i am with the people who are in my life, and how comfortable i am with those who are not.
I loved spending time: with my new friends.
Why did I spend even two minutes: trying to figure out what anyone REALLY meant.
I should have spent more time: appreciating things as they are!
I regret buying: that ugly free people sweater.
I will never regret buying: WORLD SERIES TICKETS! or a new computer!
I spent way too much.
I didn’t take time for me enough.
Not having a car drove me crazy.
The most relaxing place I went was New York, on my own!
Why did I go to Florida with high expectations?
The best thing I did for someone else was listen, give unbiased advice, and be a friend.
The best thing I did for myself was working on not being delusional or making excuses for people in my life.
The best thing someone did for me was world series tickets, lite brite, pay for my passport, talk me off the ledge.
The one thing I’d like to do again, but do it better, is Internext Florida.
