although i exclusively love irishmen and plan to marry an angry mick, i don’t do st. patrick’s day anymore. i don’t like douchebags in green shirts with green colored miller lites and beads. i went out last year, but i also only worked a retail job and was loafing around in poverty post-college, pre-life. i don’t even go home for those classic northeastern pennsylvania parades anymore, and instead wait for the sunday after to dissect everyone’s pictures on facebook. i think i’m getting too old, or maybe my tastes are more refined. i prefer shots of tequila to irish car bombs - i’m sure there’s a mick out there who feels the same.
the picture is from parade day at home last year. i don’t dress up for halloween anymore either, but that’s only because i see enough whores during my workday.
(and also because i’m waiting for that mick with the tequila before i put on fishnets and stacked heels in october.)
